1. What does “glueless” wig really mean?

Glueless wigs are designed with closures and an elastic band that adjusts around the entire dome of the wig—not just at the nape of the neck. This gives a secure fit without needing lace glue or adhesive. With custom sizing and an adjustable band, BOE wigs provide comfort, security, and peace of mind—no glue required.

 

2. What is the difference between a frontal and a closure?

  • Frontals come in sizes 13x4 and 13x6. The “13” measures ear to ear (most heads are 13 inches or less), and the “4” or “6” measures the depth of the parting space. Frontals typically require adhesive for a flat, secure hold, since the ear tabs can lift. Adjustable bands can help but won’t prevent lifting at the sides.
  • Closures cover the top/middle section of your head, from temple to temple, leaving the ear area free. They come in sizes 4x4, 5x5, 6x6, and 7x7. At BOE, we specialize in 5x5 closure wigs for the perfect balance of coverage and natural look. These wigs fit securely with custom sizing and an adjustable band—no adhesive required. Some clients use light hairspray to blend the lace line.

🔑 Both frontals and closures require lace that matches your skin tone. HD lace is the most natural-looking option, but with the right products, any lace can be blended as long as it isn’t too dark to start with.
